Everly Kate: 3 Months Old

Everly is already 14 weeks old! She is a growing, healthy baby girl who loves to smile and relax with her family. She is a very happy baby and doesn't get upset very often. Everly is sleeping 12 hours during the night and is taking 3 solid naps during the day. We can't complain! She is a wonderful baby!

Everly is getting stronger everyday and is now able to sit in her bumbo and look around. She loves looking at toys that are hanging above her and also watching Eli run laps around her. He is still very interested in her and enjoys putting her pacifier back in her mouth when she spits it out and he genuinely seems concerned when she's crying. 

Everly is addicted to a blanket that her Aunt Jessie made for her and she can't sleep without it. She loves putting her fingers through the holes and pulling it towards her face. We need Aunt Jessie to make her a few more blankets. It is definitely her security blanket!

Everly Kate : 2 Months Old

    Everly is 2 months old! We can't even believe how quickly the time has passed. She is a beautiful, alert, active baby girl with big smiles and we are so in love with her. She had her 2 month checkup this week and is 12lbs 6oz (80th percentile) and 23 1/4 inches (86th percentile).
    Eli loves his baby sister and thinks that every noise or movement she makes is hilarious. He laughs hysterically at her and can't get enough time with her. He loves laying down by her and running his hands on her head and face. Eli is so gentle with her and it has been fun watching him interact with her. 

Everly Kate Has Arrived

Surprise! I'm pretty sure she said that after being born at 12:43 PM on May 30th.

Weighing 8 lbs 7 oz and measuring 19 1/4 inches, Everly is beautiful, healthy, and everything we could have asked for.

Baby Girl's Name - Fourth Clue

Clue #4: Her name is also the name of a town in Iowa.

One Month To Go!

One month until baby girl is born, crazy.  Jamie is doing great, getting bigger, and the anxiousness of going through another birth is starting to set in for everyone.  Eli isn't fully aware a little baby is growing in there, but he is definitely interested in Mom's growing belly.  We were able to get away one last time while Gigi and Papa came out from Iowa last weekend. We got to take some maternity pictures also which are below.  The excitement is growing and I think we're as ready as we ever will be for #2.

Eli is growing and changing every day.  His latest obsession is with cars, and he rarely lets one pass by without jumping, pointing, and yelling "Car!"  He can spend hours with his toy cars - pushing them around, transporting them throughout the house, lining them all up - and most every meal ends with him asking for them.  Some days he won't eat unless he's got a few of his favorites on the high-chair tray with him!  Thank you Pixar for the greatest movie ever...

Stealing an idea from Eli's Aunt and Uncle and their newest addition, Nolan, we're going to give away a clue each week until the June 4th due date on the name of our new baby girl.

Clue #1: Her name ends with the "ee" sound

20 Week Ultrasound

We had our 20-week ultrasound on January 9th and found out the big news... It's a girl!!

We're so excited that Eli will have a little sister, now we just have to agree on a name. It will be a welcome change from raising an energetic and increasingly independent little boy!
